Who should see a dermatologist?

We diagnose and treat conditions affecting the skin, hair, or nails. Almost half of our patient encounters are related to the ongoing skin cancer epidemic. We screen for and treat skin cancers and pre-cancers related to sun exposure and the use of tanning beds. Early diagnosis and treatment can be lifesaving, and we can recommend strategies for minimizing your future risk.

Although over-the-counter medications or time alone can often resolve skin conditions, problems that persist for more than two weeks should be evaluated by a dermatologist. This may include rashes, moles, sun spots, acne, or even just itching. Our physicians have extensive training and experience and can create an individualized treatment plan for you.
